Have you checked your version of Adobe Acrobat Reader lately?

You may have noticed that many of the documents on this site require you to have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your system. It is best to have the latest version installed. To check the version of the software, open Acrobat Reader, click on the "Help" menu and then on "About Acrobat Reader". This will show you your current version.

Adobe realeases updates/upgrades of the free Acrobat Reader from time to time. Recently it added Acrobat Reader 6.0 which has many improvements and a fantastic "Find" facility (Ctrl + F). Version 6.0 runs on Windows 98SE, 2000 or XP. For Windows 98, you can download version 5.05.

In most cases, a new browser window is opened when you want to read a document on line on your screen. Since it is a new window, the "back" button is not activated. You simply close that window and then should be back in your browser at the page from which you opened the file.
